I listened with great interest to the podcast with Deb Grehn, who appeared on the game show Jeopardy! earlier this year. I have something in common with Deb: I too have been a Jeopardy! contestant.
In 2008, I was a three-time champion (appearing on four shows), winning $86,003. During one of my interview segments with Alex Trebek, I discussed how my participation in Toastmasters encouraged me to audition for Jeopardy!; I explained how being asked to do things in Toastmasters that I've never done before gave me the confidence to try out for the show.
