Hi Bo!

Good Luck at the Regional V Conference - please video your Keynote Speech and post on both the iGroops Public Speaking and District 31 Toastmasters Websites for us to view as well.

I like your idea about bullet points - note cards are less distracting than whole pages - feedback I have received in my evaluations from audience members is people want to LOOK at the speaker and have the speaker LOOK at the audience and not be glued to the notes.

It is great you have stories - a great pointer from our District 31 2006 Fall Conference "Keynote Speaker" - 1999 World Champion Public Speaker Craig Valentine is "Make a Point - Tell a Story" !!

I am looking forward to our interview on video BLOG - YOU - as the District 31 outgoing Lt. Govenor of Marketing and ME -as the Incoming Lt. Governor of Marketing.

GOOD LUCK

Signed Sherri Raftery Wink

Speech was done.  Video is not up as of now (June 18) but audio is (see http://www.igroops.com/igroops/publicspeaking/videos/VIEW+00000025 ).  I ended up not needing the notes more than one time; that was when I forgot a question that I needed to ask the audience.  The way I did use the notes, was as a review when the audience was writing down their answers to the questions that I asked them.  So I was not "on" at the time.  It worked well.  A good little "cheat time" for me. :)
