Jana Barnhill, the 2008-2009 Toastmasters International President, holds a BA in Psychology. Specializing in personalities, she is certified in both Personality Plus and Myers-Briggs administration, interpretation and training. She also conducts seminars on team building, communication skills, leadership development, time and stress management and customer service. Jana works as a speech writer and coach for other professionals, including the National President of the American Society of Interior Design. She has placed second and third in Toastmasters International's World Championship of Public Speaking and has also received Toastmasters International's Accredited Speaker designation, an honor held by only six women in the world.
Thanks so much for the interview with Jana Barnhill . She is a very good friend of mine and is the BEST TOASTMASTER & INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT ever in existence. REALLY REALLY LOVED the interview with 2008-2009 Madam International President, Jana Barnhill!!
Jana was able to give excellent colorful answers to excellent questions (thanks Ryan * Bo). I liked learning that she comes from a drama/communciations background - me too!
I also liked how Jana made it clear that her leadership journey was really her own and that her husband Bob's leadership journey was his own - Leason;s Learned.
I attended the D53 Fall Conference (D31;s neighboring district) and got to hear Jana's Keynote and learn more about her and Bob - who also had a breakout session.
Jana said to me - "We have a date on the stage"! referring to the HALL OF FAME CEREMONY during the 2009 TM International Convention in FOXWOODS and earning the Excellence in Education Award -(fingers crossed!) so far I am on track!
